M.I RisiTec Sheathed Resistance Thermometer

M.I RisiTec means ORIENTAL TEMP SENSOR's trademark of sheathed resistance thermometer It is a sheathed type resistance thermometer which is a structure where inorganic insulators(magnesium oxide) are firmly filled and insulated between the stainless steel tube (sheath) and conductors and the resistance thermometer elements. Various specifications are available according to needs based on such structrue. Compared with common type(protection tube type) resistance thermometer sensors, this product features many advantages.

Principle of Resistance Thermometer

In general, metal electric resistance varies according to temperature changes. Platinum is more linear and carries larger temperature coefficient than most other metals with different relations, and the product therefore is suitable for temperature measurement. In adition, as the platinum carries excellent chemical and physical properties, the product can be used for a long period of time in a stable condition as a temperature measuring resistance element capable of easily and industrially obtaining accurate resistance values. The characteristics have been standardized based on intermational standards, ensuring high-accuracy temperature measurements.

   As the product can easily be bent (by more than 5 time the sheath outer diameter), it can simply be installed in a place or site with many bent areas.(However, 50mm at the edge is excluded)

   Compared with the conventional type resistance thermometers, the sheathed resistance thermometer lead wires and resistance. elements are insulated by chemically stabilized magnesium oxide. This allows excellent airtightness, strong resistance to shock and disconnection, and features long operating life.
5. Superior mechanical strength and vibration resistance
   Products can be used even under unfavorable environments, such as the areas with vibration and/or with corrosive atmosphere.
6. Size of the sheath outer diameter that can be manufactured
   Sheath outer diameters ranging from ø1.6 to ø12.75 can be manufactured.
7. Products with long length are also available
   Up to 50m can be manufactured according to the sheath outer diameter.
8. Can be installed in special environment
   As the sheath outer diameter is small, and the product can easily be bent, it can be installed without obstructing the flow of the measuring objects regardless of placessl. The variety of sheath outer diameters allows one sheath to have many elements(6 conductors). As such, M.I ResiTec can widely be used in a variety of environment.
